  16. My favorite kindergarten memory is of my own experience as a kindergartener and remembering my teacher who was so very kind and caring. She always made us feel special and that we could do anything! I later learned that my kindergarten year was her 1st year of teaching and I had the wonderful opportunity to work with her when I was student teaching! She has since retired but when I'm dealing with a difficult student in my room, I always remember the way Mrs. Gallagher would have handled the situation in such a caring way. :)

  17. My favorite memory from Kindergarten was Dinosaur Day! We showed up to school one day and there were dino footprints through all the hallways leading outside to a "carnival of games" that the older kids had set up for us to play. It was a blast!

  46. My favorite kindergarten memory is from when I was in kindergarten! We put on a little song and dance for the parents and we wore sunglasses while singing a Beach Boys song. I was such a shy little girl, I was happy to hide behind those glasses! When the song ended, I wouldn't take them off and the audience thought it was hilarious!! I wore them the rest of the show :)

  50. My favorite memory of kindergarten was when we had naptime. I never needed to take a nap, but we HAD to lay down on our little carpet squares and we had to lay still, no fidgeting because it was distracting to others. We each had designated spots in the room and mine was right in front of the teacher's desk. I could see her feet. She would give out these pencil eraser size stickers to the student who would be the quietest and who stayed on their carpet the entire time during nap time. I thrived on getting one of those stickers. Since I never took a nap, I would watch my teacher's feet and when she went to get up from her desk I would close my eyes and lay as still as I possibly could, to increase the chances of winning a sticker.

I have to laugh about it now because the sticker was literally no bigger than an pencil eraser tip. :)

  52. My favorite K memory (as a teacher!) is the amazingly wonderful things my students say. I was lucky enough this last year to have a fabulous student who said the most simple but yet hilarious things...one of my favs:
Me: Why did you stop cutting?
Student: I have some bad news for you...my phalanges hurt!

I love K and you will too! Thanks for the giveaway!

  53. Oh my goodness....there is no WAY to select just one favorite memory. My kiddos said the greatest things last year. One student told me that he swallows his dimples and they go to his stomach. Another student would come in singing a different pop song each week and the words he sang never matched. Oh my goodness, I have a million of these stories. I loved my little ones! :o)

  54. Ok...favorite Kindergarten Memory....I have reading glasses and can never keep up with them in the classroom. I searched most of the day for them...I finally made the comment that I guess I was going to need to go to the dollar store and buy a bunch of them to lay around the classroom (which is what I do now). The next day this sweet child brought me her grandmothers bifocals. I called grandmother and she had been looking for them all morning....just love kids!

  59. I must be old. I don't have many from which to pick a favorite. I do remember playing "Red Rover" on the playground. The only other memory I have is of feeling inadequate at coloring. My friend colored neater than I did. So, I guess Red Rover is my favorite memory.
