It took me longer than I'd hoped, but I finally got the buttons finished. Just print these out and then place inside of a clear button (sold in the crafting section of Wal-mart) Allow your students to wear these when they've reached a goal or have shown good character. Students can't help but feel proud when teachers and other students all through the school acknowledge their success!! If you like these, please leave me a comment!! Thanks,
**update: my brain got to thinking that maybe I could take a picture of the student wearing the button and make a wall of fame. Or, simply send the picture home with the child so their parents can celebrate with them too!

Teaching Melodies
These are precious!! Thanks for sharing!! I remember when I was little in K-2, my teachers had buttons for the line leader, the special helper, etc. I remember how proud I was when I got to wear a button! These are great!

Whooo Loves Kindergarten?
Very cute!! I have a button maker, but never knew what buttons to make!! Do you let the kiddos keep them, or do you just have them wear it for the day?
ReplyDeleteThese are fantastic! What a great idea and a great motivator.

ReplyDeleteAngela, I just let them wear them for the day.. tight budgets and all :) Maybe we could take a picture of them wearing the button and make a wall of fame??
Kreative in Kinder, thanks for taking the time to rate and share the buttons too!!
Very cute idea! Do you give the students a new button each time or do you just replace the circle picture? I am just wondering about the cost of the buttons.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the freebie.
I actually just keep a few buttons of each type and then the students wear it for the day and give it back to me for someone else to wear next time. They do not get to keep the button. They are sold as a four-pack for about $3. Hope that helps!
DeleteIt does! Thanks!
DeleteOh I soo love these!! Thank you for sharing the buttons!!

How Fun! And I really like the idea of taking a picture of them wearing the button and posting the picture on the "wall of fame". Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeletewhat a cool idea!!! totally want to do this! do you have a blank template of just the circles that you would be willing to share? my 4th graders wouldn't be too thrilled about getting a button for tying their shoes...LOL!!!
ReplyDeletePam, I don't have a template.. it wouldn't show up right if I didn't send it as a PDF. However, my friend Tonya has some listed for free in her TpT store that work for older students! Take a look!!

Thanks for sharing these on Manic Monday...I love finding new blogs! What a great idea, especially taking the picture of the kiddos and making a wall of fame. You can then have the kids create a scrapbook at the end of the year to take home.

Learning is for Superstars
I just discovered your blog through pinterest and I love it! Here in Mexico walmart does not carry half the stuff you find in the US, so for my pre-primary students I will print and laminate them, punch a hole at the top and have them wear them as a necklace!
ReplyDeleteThank you again for sharing your goodies with us, I am now a follower :)
